First Edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum
The Minister of External Relations, H.E. Mbella Mbella, is the Head of the Cameroonian Delegation that will be participating in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum from 18 to 20 June 2021. Holding in Antalya, Turkey, on the theme “ Innovative Diplomacy: New Era, New Approaches ” the Forum is one of the first major face-to-face international meetings since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is set to bring together hundreds of participants, including Heads of State and Government, Ministers, Diplomats, Academics and Civil Society representatives, with the underlying objective of promoting international solidarity and a space for participants to explore cooperation prospects in the post-COVID 19 era.
The Turkish President, H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presided over the official launching ceremony that featured his keynote address, a video message from the President of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, H.E. Volkan Bozkir, and other speeches.
The Forum will serve as a platform for discussions on issues relating to Asia-Turkey-Africa regional cooperation in the fields of energy, terrorism, peace, security and health. During one of the associated panel discussions, on the theme “ Partnerships with Africa: Mutual Gains ”, H.E. Mbella Mbella presented Cameroon’s standpoint, with regard to the issues raised.
