Presentation ceremony of the great ayasofya mosque of istanbul (saint sophie) in Turkey

On Friday, August 07, 2020, at the invitation of the Turkish Government, H.E. Victor TCHATCHOUWO, Ambassador of Cameroon to Turkey, took part in Istanbul in the presentation ceremony of the Grand Mosque Ayasofya (Hagia Sophia).

More than thirty Heads of Diplomatic Missions and Representatives of International Organizations accredited to Ankara attended this ceremony, following the conversion of this Museum into a Mosque by the Council of State’s decision on July 10, 2020.

This event, which was part of the dynamic geared towards the promotion of Hagia Sophia, was coordinated by H.E. YAVUZ SELIM KIRAN Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. IBRAHIM KALIN, Spokesperson and Special Advisor, of the President of the Republic of Turkey and Mr. ALI YERLIKAYA, Governor of Istanbul. During this ceremony, H.E. the Ambassador had a brief meeting with the Spokesperson, Special Advisor, of the President of the Turkish Republic on matters of common interest.

The ceremony ended with a dinner offered in honour of the Heads of Diplomatic Missions.
