Cameroon participated in the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held from 15 to 19 April 2026 in Istanbul-Türkiye. The Delegation of Cameroonian parliamentarians to this assembly was led by the Vice-President of the Cameroonian Senate, Senator Mrs DIN BELL ARMANDE.

Under the coordination of AMBACAM-ANKARA, the five-day proceedings culminated in the adoption of several reports and resolutions, as well as the election of the new IPU Secretary General.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that our compatriot, the former Secretary General, Mr MARTIN CHUNGONG, received many tributes. During the audience granted to the Cameroonian Delegation, he was keen to highlight the constant support of Cameroon, which had enabled his election to this prestigious post.
