VISA APPLICATION
A valid visa is required for travel to Cameroon from Turkey;
Visa Application Forms can be obtained at the Embassy or be applied for online at: Online visa application
Types of visas : Ordinary visa (Tourism, Business, studies, conferences & seminars, visit to relatives); Diplomatic Visa and Official Visa.
Please indicate the type of visa (ordinary, diplomatic, official);
Visa application will be given consideration within 5 working days for normal procedure or 24 hours for express procedure;
The first entry into Cameroon has to take place within a period of three (3) months as from the date of visa issuance;
There are cases in which additional documents may be requested following the submission of application.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR VISA APPLICATION
1. A Passport, valid for at least six (6) months + colored copy of the information page;
2. A visa application form duly filled. When filling the application, the signature must be the same as the one in the traveler’s passport;
3. A passport-size photograph (color with name of applicant at the back) affixed on the application form;
4. A national identification card of the country of nationality/Residence card for others
5. A Hotel reservation;
6. A Letter of Guarantee from your company and/or an original Invitation Letter (or a colored copy) from the third party in Cameroon and/or hotel reservation; in the case of housewives/unemployed applicants, a Letter of Guarantee from a family member would be required;
7. A copy of vaccination against yellow fever; for polio, see:Public Health Announcement and a copy of COVID-19 test results
8. Travel Booking declaration from a travel agency or e-ticket;
9. Proof of income or financial support;
10. For married applicant(s) who intend to go to Cameroon on a long term basis, the Embassy could request him/her/(them) to furnish proof of his/hers/(their) marital status.
FOR STUDENTS, RESEARCHERS AND CONFERENCE ATTENDEES
In addition to the general requirements for visa applicants, they would be required to provide an attestation from a Turkese academic institution and a letter of admission or invitation from a Cameroonian Academic Institution.
FOR THOSE ENTERING BY CAR
If you travel by car, you will require a “carnet de passages en douane” and international insurance, which is valid in Cameroon. (Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD) is a customs document that allows travellers to temporarily import their motor vehicles into a country without having to leave cash deposit at the border).
VISIT FOR FILMING
A project letter must be submitted to the Embassy prior to visa application and all necessary documents confirmed.
FOR LONG TERM VISA (RESIDENTS AND FAMILIES)
A Color copy of Marriage Certificate (for married people only)
On arrival in Cameroon, they would be expected to settle their status with the Immigration Department.
REQUIREMENTS FOR DIPLOMATIC & OFFICIAL VISAS (HOLDERS OF DIPLOMATIC & OFFICIAL PASSPORTS)
Note Verbale;
Diplomatic or Official Passport, valid for at least six (6) months + colored copy of the information page;
Visa application form duly filled and signed;
Passport-size photograph (color/white background);
Invitation Letter/Mission Order (for those travelling for professional purpose);
Travel Booking declaration from a travel agency or e-ticket;
Hotel reservation;
Those traveling for employment should provide a copy of an official document indicating the reason for their stay (employment contract, employment appointment letter, …).

PASSPORT
PASSPORT
The Embassy of the Republic of Cameroon in Ankara wishes to inform members of the Cameroonian Community resident in the region that applications for processing machine readable passports are received at the consular section of the Mission.
1. All prospective applicants for new passports and renewals MUST appear in person at the Consular Section of the Embassy in Ankara, Turkey for photographing and finger printing.
2. Prospective applicants must come prepared with the completed list of requirements and fees.
3. The Consular Section is open from 09.30am to 12.00pm from Tuesday to Friday for photographing, fingerprinting, payment of fees and the submission of application forms.
4. Please note that the Birth Certificates of all applicants born overseas must be transcribed at any Cameroon Diplomatic Mission with territorial jurisdiction over the countries where the person was born, before being sent in as part of the requirements for a passport.
5. Following a successful submission of an application, the applicant is issued an official receipt and a receipt of fees. These ORIGINAL receipts MUST not be handed over to third parties and will be needed when collecting the passport.
6. All Application fees are non-refundable and the Embassy declines any responsibility for misleading information or fraudulent applications rejected by the Passport Processing Center at the Delegation for National Security in Yaounde.
7. Applicants are informed that a minimum of 2 months processing time should be expected from the date application files are forwarded to the Yaounde Processing Centre.
8. All Applicants will be informed as soon as passports are ready for collection.
9. It should be noted that the Embassy is not responsible for any costs related to travel, lodging for the purpose of submitting passport applications or collection.
MARIAGE
CERTIFICATE OF RIAGE ELIGIBILITY

1. The Declaring must provide also the original copies of the following documents for each Member of the future couple:
Handwritten request (containing detailed information on the identity, the address and the contacts of the applicant) 1.000 FCFA (2 Euros)
Certificate of Celibacy legalized by the Ministry of External Relations in Cameroon
Birth Certificate or Civil Status Registry Certificate (translated by licensed translation company) + colored copy for each person 1.000 FCFA (2 Euros)
Passport + colored copy
National Identity Card or Alien Registration Card + colored copy 1.000 FCFA (2 Euros)
In case of divorce, the certificate of the Judgment proving the separation
NB: Legalised English or French translation of the above mentioned if it is in any other language then that of English or French.
No Incomplete file will be accepted.
Any false declaration would lead to the rejection of the file and expose the declaring to criminal charges.
2. After examination of the documents by the consular office, the Embassy will publish marriage banns for a statutory period of 30 days.
If no objections are raised, the Embassy will issue marriage eligibility documents.

ISSUANCE OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE OF A NEW BORN BABY
New Time Frame for Birth Declaration
In accordance with the new provisions of Law No. 2011/011 of 6th May 2011 Amending and Completing Certain Provisions of the Ordinance No. 81-02 of 29 June 1981, on the Organization of the Civil Status Registration and Provisions Relating to the Status of Physical Persons in Cameroon,
Cameroonians living in Turkey must declare to the Embassy of Cameroon in Ankara any birth concerning them. The said declaration which stands for an application of a birth certificate should be made within a period not exceeding Ninety(90) days after the birth date. In case of delay vis-à-vis the above mentioned time frame, the issuance of a birth certificate shall no longer be possible, unless it is formally requested by a competent Court of justice decision.
