Cameroon's term of office as President of the 50ᵉsession of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) came to an end today, 21 June 2025.
H.E. MBELLA MBELLA, Minister of External Relations, leading the Cameroonian Delegation, solemnly handed over the gavel of the Council to his counterpart from the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. HAKAN FIDAN, at the opening of this 51ᵉ session.
The Turkish President, His Excellency Recep TAYYIP ERDOGAN, in His Address, praised the quality of the Cameroonian Presidency, which, according to the Member States, was conducted under the triple seal of Wisdom, Patience and Dialogue.
Through this recognition, Cameroon has seen the consecration of a Presidency marked by listening, moderation and the permanent search for consensus in the service of the ideals of peace, solidarity and cooperation between the Member States of the OIC.
Cameroon, in accordance with the rules of procedure and Resolution N°7/50-LO adopted in Yaoundé, will sit as Rapporteur within the Bureau of the 51ᵉ Council.
