AFRICA-TURKIYE ECONOMIC AND TRADE COOPERATION

On Friday September 29, 2023, at the invitation of Prof. Dr. ÖMER BOLAT, Minister of Trade of Turkey, H.E. VICTOR TCHATCHOUWO, Ambassador of Cameroon to Turkey, took part in a working breakfast in Ankara.

Over thirty Heads of African Diplomatic Missions accredited to Ankara also attended the working session.

Discussions centered on the state of economic and trade relations between Africa and Turkiye, on the one hand, and preparations for the 4th Africa-Turkey Economic and Trade Forum (TABEF), scheduled for October 12-13, 2023 in Istanbul, on the other hand.

On the sidelines of this working session, H.E. VICTOR TCHATCHOUWO not only took the opportunity to congratulate Prof. Dr. ÖMER BOLAT for his recent appointment as the new Turkish Minister of Trade by the President of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. RECEP TAYYIP ERDOĞAN , but also to review a number of economic issues between Cameroon and Turkiye, notably the Business Trip that a Delegation of Businessmen from the Turkish Exporters Union (TIM) will be making to Cameroon  from the 1st to the 5th of October 2023.
