Under the coordination of H.E. VICTOR TCHATCHOUWO, Cameroon's Ambassador to Türkiye, on the 26th and 27th of August 2024, Dr. İHSAN ŞAHIN, the new President of TCBC-DEIK, paid a Business Visit to Cameroon.
During the said visit, he was accompanied by H.E. VOLKAN IŞIKÇI, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Cameroon; Senator NFON EKOKO MUKETE, Consul of Türkiye in Douala, President of the Cameroon-Turkey Business Council (CTBC-DEIK) and Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts (CCIMA); and Mrs. ETONDE MARTINS, Executive Director of CTBC. The Diplomatic Post was represented on this occasion by Mr. NKWAH AKONGNWI NGWA, First Secretary.
The purpose of his visit was to establish contacts with the relevant institutions in the fields of the economy, trade, agriculture, industry, energy and health, and to lay the foundations for the activities that he intends to promote during his term of office, as part of actions geared at strengthening the cooperation between Cameroon and Türkiye in the above-mentioned sectors.
He held a series of meetings, around ten in all, with various ministerial departments and institutions, including the Ministry of External Relations (MINREX); the Ministry of Trade (MINCOMMERCE); the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT); the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development (MINMIDT); the Ministry of Water and Energy (MINEE); the Ministry of Public Health (MINSANTE); the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Handicrafts (MINCAM); the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT); the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT) the Ministry of Water and Energy (MINEE); the Ministry of Public Health (MINSANTE); the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Handicrafts (CCIMA); the Chamber of Agriculture, Fisheries, Livestock and Forestry (CAPEF); the Investment Promotion Agency (API) and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Handicrafts (CCIMA).
