Under the supervision of the Embassy of Cameroon in Türkiye, a Cameroonian Delegation led by the Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, in charge of Planning, Mr PAUL TASONG NJUKANG, took part in the 10th World Halal Summit and the 11th EXPO Halal International Halal Expo Trade Fair, from 27 to 30 November 2024 in Istanbul, Turkey.
On the sidelines of these two events, Minister PAUL TASONG NJUKANG, accompanied by Cameroon's Ambassador to Turkey, H.E. VICTOR TCHATCHOUWO, the Director General of Planning and Regional Development; the Coordinator of the Special Programme for the Reconstruction and Development of the Far North Region; the Coordinator of the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development of the North-West and South-West Regions, as well as heads of consular chambers and businessmen's associations from Cameroon, attended the ‘Go Africa Export Fair Istanbul 2024’ organized by the Turkish and Cameroonian Businessmen's Association (TURCABA). Cameroon will have distinguished itself in this respect by the exhibitions and other activities involved in promoting the Cameroonian know-how of parastatal and private companies, in the spirit of the government's import-substitution policy.
Our country's participation in these meetings was also remarkable for the ‘Cameroon Business Hour’, organized for Turkish investors and businessmen. This activity was co-chaired by Mr. MINDEL-MINEPAT and the Director General for Africa at the Turkish Ministry of Trade, Mr. HUSNU DILEMRE, Personal Representative of the Turkish Minister of Trade, and aimed to raise awareness among participants of investment opportunities in Cameroon.
