CAMEROON PARTICIPATES IN THE 3RD ANTALYA DIPLOMATIC FORUM (ADF).

H.E. MBELLA MBELLA, Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Cameroon, led the Cameroonian Delegation to the 3rd ANTALYA Diplomatic Forum in Turkiye, from 1 to 3 March 2024. The general theme chosen for this edition was "Advancing Diplomacy in Times of Turmoil".

The major activities in which H.E. the Minister took part can be grouped as follows:

  •  the opening ceremony, presided over by H.E. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, President of the Republic of Turkiye, and the dinner hosted by the Presidential Couple on 1 March 2023;

  • the leaders' panels attended by a number of Heads of State;

  • the participation of H.E. the Minister in the panel on the sub-theme "Realising Africa's Potential" alongside his counterparts from Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Gabon and Namibia. This was undoubtedly the major activity of the Cameroonian Delegation, where the voice of Cameroon was heard on the development challenges facing the continent (hunger, education, energy, infrastructure, etc.), as well as its vision of partnership with countries such as Türkiye.

  • the meeting between the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Hakan Fidan, and his counterparts from African countries.

A number of audiences were also granted on the sidelines of the Forum, notably to the Chairman of the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Council (DEİK), Mr. NAIL OLPAK, who was assisted by the new Chairman of the Turkish-Cameroonian Council (TCBC- DEİK), and to the Chairman of Turkish Aerospace,  Mr. TEMEL KOTIL.
