CELEBRATION OF THE 52ND EDITION OF THE NATIONAL DAY OF CAMEROON IN ANKARA-TÜRKIYE (20th MAY 2024)

FIRST PART:
Flag Raising Ceremony, 20 May 2024, Embassy of Cameroon in Ankara-Türkiye

Presided over by the Ambassador of Cameroon to Türkiye, H.E. VİCTOR TCHATCHOUWO and under the supervision of the Defence Attaché at the Cameroonian Embassy in Turkey, Colonel MAHAMAT AHEMAT, the flag-raising ceremony was held in the early hours of May 20th in the gardens of the Chancellery, under the command of Major AKAM Armel Brice, Gendarmerie Specialist Attaché, in the presence of all Embassy staff, military cadets on training in Türkiye as well as ELECAM officials sojourning in Türkiye.

PART TWO:
The retransmission on screen, in the Cameroon Embassy in Ankara-Türkiye, of the civil and military parade at the 20th May Boulevard, personally presided over by the President of the Republic, H.E. PAUL BIYA.


PART THREE: Grand Official Reception offered by H.E. VİCTOR TCHATCHOUWO and his Spouse, at Hilton Hotel in Ankara.

The reception was attended by S.E. Burhanettin Duran, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye as Representative of the Government of Türkiye; several Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Senior Officials of the Host Country, Defence Attachés accredited in Türkiye, Special Guests and Members of the Cameroonian Diaspora in Türkiye.

The speeches delivered by the two Personalities from Cameroon and Türkiye highlighted the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries while underlining the determination of Their Excellencies PAUL BIYA of Cameroon and RECEP TAYYIP ERDOĞAN of Türkiye to work towards strengthening this partnership.

In addition to the rich and varied Cameroonian Gastronomy served to the guests, the cultural and artistic performances to the rhythms of Cameroon also furnished this beautiful evening highly praised and appreciated both by the Authorities of the Host Country, the Diplomatic Corps of Türkiye and our Cameroonian Compatriots.
