On Friday, December 09, 2022, an Information and Training Seminar purposely organised for Cameroonians living in Türkiye, on new procedures in obtaining and renewing Residence Permits in Türkiye as well as best practices for a better social integration of Cameroonians in Türkiye, took place at the Conference Hall of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.

The said Seminar which was jointly organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Cameroon in Türkiye and the General Directorate of Compliance and Communication of the Presidency of Migration Management of Türkiye (GÖÇ IDARESI), was co-chaired by H.E. VICTOR TCHATCHOUWO, Ambassador of Cameroon in Türkiye and Mr. BAYRAM YALINSU, Provincial Director of the General Directorate of Migration Management in Istanbul.

This Seminar, which was the first of its kind ever organized by Türkiye, saw the participation of more than a hundred members of the Cameroonian Diaspora of Türkiye, was part of the ongoing efforts being undertaken by the Diplomatic Post to find sustainable solutions to the problems of obtaining or renewing Residence Permits and other issues related to the legal stay of Cameroonians residing in Türkiye.
