Under the High Patronage of H.E. VICTOR TCHATCHOUWO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cameroon to the Republic of Türkiye, the Association of Cameroonian Students in Türkiye (CAMTURK) held its Sixth Annual Congress from February 6 to 8, 2026, in Ankara.
This Congress, which also marked the 10th anniversary of the Association, was held as part of the National Youth Day Celebrations. It was attended by prominent figures from the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Ankara and the academic community, as well as representatives from Turkish partners, including the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the YTB Scholarship Agency, the MAARIF Foundation, and TUNA EXIM Company.
On this occasion, His Excellency the Ambassador delivered a speech whose substance was outlined along three main lines, as follows
Encouraged students to continually strive for excellence in their studies, the primary reason for their presence in Türkiye;
Urged students to maintain impeccable conduct by strictly adhering to Turkish laws and regulations. Through exemplary behavior, students contribute to preserving the positive image of their beautiful country, Cameroon;
The numerous initiatives undertaken by the Cameroonian Government to place young people at the forefront of its priorities, in accordance with the political agenda of His Excellency PAUL BIYA, President of the Republic of Cameroon.
The 6th CAMTURK Congress, a resounding success, concluded with the election of the Executive Board and its new President, Mr. NJI NJAYOU NJOYA MOUSSA.
