THE PARTICIPATION OF CAMEROON IN THE 5TH TÜRKIYE-AFRICA ECONOMIC AND BUSINESS FORUM (TABEF) IN ISTANBUL (TÜRKIYE)

From 16 to 17 October 2025, Mr. NKWAH AKONGNWI NGWA, First Secretary, was designated by H.E. TCHATCHOUWO VICTOR, Ambassador of Cameroon to the Republic of Türkiye, to represent the Embassy at the 5th Türkiye-Africa Economic and Business Forum (TABEF) in Istanbul, which was jointly under the High Patronage of H.E. RECEP TAYYIP ERDOĞAN, President of the Republic of Türkiye, and the current President of the African Union, H.E. JOÃO MANUEL GONÇALVES LOURENÇO of the Republic of Angola. 

This 5th TABEF was organised by the Turkish Ministry of Trade, the African Union Commission (AUC) and the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) under the theme ‘Sharing Common Gains by Strengthening Relations between Türkiye and Africa’. 

Thirty (30) ministers and deputy ministers in charge of trade from 52 African countries were present, including senior officials from African sub-regional economic and trade organisations. This year's edition welcomed more than 4,000 participants, including 2,500 Africans. More than 2,000 B2B and G2B meetings were also organised.
