ANTALYA DIPLOMACY FORUM (ADF): INVITATIONS TO INVEST IN CAMEROON.
Matching words with action, H.E. Mbella Mbella, after his clarion call for foreign investment in Cameroon, during the ADF Panel discussion on the theme “Partnerships with Africa: Mutual Gains”, held meetings with several Turkish economic operators on Saturday, 19 June 2021.
The Minister discussed Cameroon’s potential as a land of opportunities, with investment facilitators and top-level managers of Turkish Multinationals, operating in sectors that are deemed crucial for Cameroon’s development strategy, including the President of Yenigün Construction, Mr Mithat Yenigün, the Chairperson of the Turkey-Cameroon Business Council, Ms. Aygen Yenigün, and the President of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey, Mr Nail Olpak. The Japoma Sports Complex is one of the projects undertaken by Yenigün Construction, and together with the Minister, they discussed prospects for future investments. The Minister encouraged them to invest in other sectors like health, tourism, and construction.
H.E. Mbella Mbella also had in-depth discussions with the Chairman of the Diplomatic Relations Committee of the Turkish Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association, Mr Zeki Güvercin, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the MAARIF Foundation, Pr Birol Akgün. The MAARIF Foundation owns several schools in Cameroon, that offer optimal training conditions for Cameroonian and foreign students.
